Annual Refresh: The delivery of data to Licensees of the Holiday Data which takes place in late January or early February of each year in which we shift the window of time covered by the data forward by one year. The Annual Refresh does not include any Updates. Business Day Convention: A procedure used for adjusting payment dates in response to days that are not Good Business Days. Examples of Business Day Conventions are Following, Modified Following and Preceding. Center: In the context of the Holiday Data, a Center identifies a city, exchange or other entity for which we publish holidays, and is sometimes referred to as a Holiday Center. In the context of the Trading Hours Data, a Center identifies an exchange for which we publish trading hours, and is sometimes referred to as a Trading Hours Center. Code: In the context of the Holiday Data, this term is also referred to as Three-Letter Code. In the context of the Trading Hours Data, this term is also referred to as Four-Letter Code. The Codes are not case-sensitive. Compact: One of two layouts for the Trading Hours Data. Compressed: One of three layouts for the Holiday Data. Daily Delivery: The delivery of Trading Hours Data to customers on a daily basis (excluding non-business days). Extended: One of two layouts for the Trading Hours Data. Financial Calendar: Our database of future holidays and trading hours. FinancialCalendar.Com: As the context requires, either the family of services provided on this site, or the Internet address of the home page for this site. Following: A Business Day Convention whereby payment days that fall on a Holiday or Weekend roll forward to the next Good Business Day. Four-Letter Code: The unique identifier we have assigned to each Trading Hours Center. All Four-Letter Codes have four letters. The Codes are not case-sensitive. Free Access: The sections of this site that can be viewed by anyone and do not require a User Name or Password. Good Business Day: A day that is neither a Holiday nor a Weekend. Holiday: A day, other than a Weekend, on which a Holiday Center is closed for the entire day. A day on which a Holiday Center is closed for only part of the day is not considered a Holiday. Precise Holiday definitions for each Holiday Center are contained in each Output Screen. Holiday Center: A city, exchange or other entity for which we publish holidays. Often referred to as a Center. Holiday Data: Data pertaining to Holidays and other non-Good Business Days. Input Screen: A Web page that can be employed by the User to request information, for example the Multi-Day Window or the T-Plus Calculator. Licensee: A company that has licensed the Holiday Data. Licensee Support: The section of this site devoted to customer support for Licensees. Modified Following: A Business Day Convention whereby payment days that fall on a Holiday or Weekend roll forward to the next Good Business Day, unless that day falls in the next calendar month, in which case the payment day rolls backward to the immediately preceding Good Business Day. Multi-Day Window: A feature of Real-time Analytics that enables a Registered User to determine the Status of a given Holiday Center during a defined window of time. Output Screen: A Web page that returns the information requested in an Input Screen. Password: A unique identifier needed to visit the Restricted Access portions of this site. Preceding: A Business Day Convention whereby payment days that fall on a Holiday or Weekend roll backward to the preceding Good Business Day. Privacy Statement: A statement of our policy for using the information that we gather from Users. To view our Privacy Statement, click here. Purchaser: A company that has purchased the Trading Hours Data. Real-time Analytics: A service of FinancialCalendar.Com which gives the Registered User a variety of holiday and date-related analytics, including the Multi-Day Window, the Strip of Dates and the T-Plus Calculator. Registered User: A company or individual with a valid User Name and Password. Restricted Access: The sections of this site that can only be viewed by Registered Users holding a valid User Name and Password. Spreadsheet: One of three layouts for the Holiday Data. Status: The Status of a given Holiday Center and date can be either a Good Business Day, a Holiday or a Weekend. Strip of Dates: A feature of Real-time Analytics which enables a Registered User to determine the Status of up to two specified Holiday Centers for a given day of the year over a period of multiple years. Swaps Monitor: Swaps Monitor Publications, Inc., the company that operates this site and owns the Financial Calendar. Three-Letter Code: The unique identifier we have assigned to each Holiday Center. All Three-Letter Codes have three letters. The Codes are not case-sensitive. Today: For those pages in the Free Access section that require a definition of "today" (e.g. Today's Holidays, Next Good Business Day and T-Plus Calculator) we have defined it as starting at 6:00pm New York time on one day and ending at 5:59pm New York time the next day. Today's Holidays: A feature of Real-time Analytics that enables a Registered User to view a list of those centers that are closed Today. T-Plus Calculator: A feature of Real-time Analytics that enables a Registered User to determine the Business Day which falls a specified number of Business Days before or after another Business Day. Trading Hours Center: An exchange for which we publish trading hours. Often referred to as a Center. Trading Hours Data: Data pertaining to trading hours at exchanges. TriCol: One of three layouts for the Holiday Data. Unadjusted: The Status of a given date and Holiday Center, without adjustment for any Business Day Convention. Update: The issuance to Licensees of new data to reflect one or more changes to future Holidays or Weekends. Usage Agreement: The terms that govern the User’s usage of this site. User: A visitor to any of the pages of this site. User Name: A unique identifier needed to visit the Restricted Access portions of this site. Weekend: The day(s) of the week on which a Holiday Center is regularly closed for the entire day. A day of the week on which a Holiday Center is regularly closed for only part of the day is not considered a Weekend.
