General
principles It
is the policy of Swaps Monitor Publications, Inc., the operator of this
site, never to provide any information about individual customers to third
parties without the customer’s permission. That policy applies to this
Web site just as it does to our other services. In particular, it means
that none of the information we may
obtain about an individual user of this site (a “User”) or his/her
employer will be disclosed to any third party. Free
Access portions of the site The
Free Access portions of this site are those which can be viewed by anyone
and do not require a User Name or Password. They can be enjoyed with
complete anonymity. We do not require the User to identify himself or
herself, nor do we endeavor to surreptitiously obtain information about
the User. In particular, we do not place cookies on the Free Access User's
hard disk; we do not gather electronic information about any aspect of the
User, his/her computer, or any other sites the User may have visited; nor
do we attempt to identify the User's e-mail address. Restricted
Access portions of the site The
Restricted Access portions of the site (i.e. those requiring a User Name
and Password) contain services that are available only to those who have
paid for them, or are receiving a free trial. In order to access these
portions of the site, the User must identify himself or herself and
provide certain other information such as street address, company name,
fax number and e-mail address ("User Information"). We need the
User Information to ensure the effective administration of the site,
including protecting the confidentiality of our data, billing the User,
tracking the usage of each page, and providing the User with information
about our services. From
a privacy perspective, there are three principal differences compared with
the Free Access portions of the site. First, by collecting the User
Information, we know the identity of the User and can track his/her usage
of the site. Second, we place certain cookies on the User's hard disk.
Third, we will occasionally send e-mail notifications of changes to our
service. We
wish to stress, however, that the User Information is employed ONLY for
the purpose of administering the Restricted Access portions of the site.
This means that, except for occasional e-mails from us describing new or
enhanced Financial Calendar-related services, you will not receive any
unsolicited contacts of any kind from anyone as a result of providing us
with the User Information. In
order to ensure the accuracy of the User Information, each User will be
asked periodically to verify it, and modify it if necessary. The User
Information is stored on a secure server that can be accessed only by
authorized Swaps Monitor employees, all of whom have signed appropriate
confidentiality agreements. Modifications This
Privacy Statement was last modified on August 6, 1999. It was last reviewed on December 8, 2005, but no modifications were made.
We reserve the
right to modify it at any time in the future. Any significant
modifications will be announced in the What's New section. Although we
cannot predict the nature of future modifications, to the extent that they
erode any of the privacy rights described above they will be prospective
only. In other words, if we weaken your privacy rights, all User
Information gathered prior to the modification date will be protected by
the previous privacy statement. In the event that the User is dissatisfied
with any modifications to the Privacy Statement, his/her sole remedy is to
